Turin Transfer Market: There’s a Substantial Offer for Gineitis; Here’s What the Granata Are Asking For

A concrete offer has been made for Gvidas Gineitis, who could leave Torino in the coming weeks. According to La Stampa, Celtic Glasgow is interested in the Lithuanian midfielder and has taken the plunge by submitting an initial offer for the Torino player.
Celtic is looking for a replacement for Arne Engels, who will leave Scotland this summer, and has placed the 2004-born player—who has been with Torino since 2022—at the top of its transfer list. Cairo and Petrachi value the midfielder at around 15 million euros and prefer a permanent transfer. This sum would allow Torino to invest in a new goalkeeper: the option of Oscar Gill, the Paraguayan goalkeeper currently playing in the World Cup, is becoming increasingly likely.
After arriving in Italy with SPAL in 2020, Gineitis joined Torino in 2022. With the Granata, he has played 73 matches across all competitions, scoring three goals. For the national team, he has 32 appearances and five goals.
On the goalkeeper front, the name making waves at Torino is Orlando Gill, a Paraguayan goalkeeper born in 2000 who plays for San Lorenzo. The player made a name for himself during the recent World Cup, playing a decisive role in Paraguay’s historic victory over Germany in the round of 16, with crucial saves both during the match and in the subsequent penalty shootout. His performances have inevitably driven up his transfer value, now estimated at around 6–7 million euros—a figure Torino would still be willing to invest. Several Turkish clubs and Valencia are also reportedly interested in Gill, which could trigger a race against time for the Granata.
