Ivan Provedel is officially a new Inter player. On Wednesday evening, the Nerazzurri confirmed that they had finalized a deal with the former Lazio goalkeeper, who signed a three-year contract. Born in Pordenone on March 17, 1994, Provedel came up through the youth systems of Visinale, Treviso, and Pordenone, initially distinguishing himself as a forward before switching positions at age 15 to become his teams’ goalkeeper.

After moves to Liapiave and then Udinese, he joined Chievo in 2013, beginning a journey that took him to Pisa, Perugia, Modena, Vercelli (with the historic Pro team), and Empoli, the club where he made his Serie A debut in 2018. He then moved to Juve Stabia (where he also scored a header against Ascoli), returned to Serie A with Spezia, and joined Lazio in 2022.

With the Biancocelesti, he stood out for his skills, so much so that he won the award for Best Goalkeeper in Serie A for the 2022–23 season. He also gained international fame for his goal in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid. After four seasons with the Biancocelesti, Provedel has now joined Inter to guard the Nerazzurri’s goal.

With the goalkeeper situation settled, Inter is now ready to step up its search for a new wingback to replace Denzel Dumfries, who has since been transferred to Real Madrid. The favorite remains Israeli player Anan Khalaili, currently under contract with Union Saint-Gilloise, but interest is growing in the background for Guela Doué (Desiré’s brother), who is expected to play for the Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup.
