Como’s transfer market activity is picking up steam: following the signings of Luis Milla and Mattia Liberali, and the confirmation that Nico Paz will remain with the club for next season, the Larians have pulled off a major coup in defense with the arrival of Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.

According to Sky, Como has reached an agreement with the Blues for a fixed fee of 30 million euros, plus more than 3 million in bonuses. The player will join on a permanent basis from the London club and will undergo medicals in the coming days, after which he will sign his contract. Inter Milan was also interested in Chalobah at the start of the summer.

But the Lombardy-based club’s transfer campaign certainly doesn’t stop there; two more reinforcements are on the way for a total of 60 million euros. Como is very close to finalizing a deal for Yan Couto: sporting director Lucidi has reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for a loan with an option to buy set at around 20 million euros.

And for the attack, the possibility of signing Moise Kean remains very much open: Fiorentina has not ruled out selling the Italian striker if the right offer comes along, and is ready to replace him with Mateo Pellegrino of Parma. Fiorentina is asking for 40 million euros for the player’s transfer rights: Como wants to reduce its payroll and is open to a sale.

Despite a disappointing season, Fabregas holds Kean in high regard, and Como could make a significant investment in the Italian national team forward, who earns 4.5 million euros a year in Tuscany. Fiorentina’s new head coach, Fabio Grosso, had already hinted at the possibility of letting the striker go, albeit with diplomatic language: “There are transfer rumors, partly because we’re talking about a very strong player. However, we take the field only to improve. If he stays with us, I’d be happy; if he were to leave, we’d wish him the best of luck.”
