Milan Transfer Market: Four Immediate Sales; Amorim Rejects Many Others. New Maignan Situation

The Milan transfer market is picking up after weeks of stalemate. As is well known, the Rossoneri’s priority now is to offload as many surplus players as possible to raise funds to reinvest in the final reinforcements requested by Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese coach himself, having concluded the tour of the East, has drawn up a list of players he has deemed unsuitable and does not consider central to his plans.

Santiago Gimenez is about to leave Milan. The Mexican forward has reached an agreement with Porto, which is now negotiating directly with the Rossoneri to finalize the deal. Meanwhile, Milan fans are debating on social media the club’s decision to grant Mike Maignan and Adrien Rabiot additional time off. The two French players, fresh off the World Cup, will enjoy another four days of vacation and will return only on August 16, one week before the start of the Serie A season. This decision has infuriated many fans, who have primarily targeted captain Maignan, who did not attend Franco Baresi’s funeral and has removed all social media references to Milan from his Instagram. A future rift between the French goalkeeper and the club cannot be ruled out.
