Juventus Transfer Market: The former Inter veteran has offered his services to the Bianconeri. Spalletti has given his approval; the club is considering the offer.
Juventus is scouring the transfer market in search of a quality midfielder to bolster Luciano Spalletti’s midfield. Among the names mentioned in recent weeks are Franck Kessié (the front-runner), Youssouf Fofana, who is leaving Milan, Leon Goretzka (who is waiting for a Premier League club), and Tijjani Reijnders, who is about to move to Saudi Arabia.
According to the latest rumors, Juventus is reportedly considering Marcelo Brozovic, the former Inter midfielder who is currently a free agent following his stint at Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr. The 1992-born player is looking for a team and has reportedly offered his services to the Bianconeri through intermediaries: there had already been contact at the start of the summer, and now the option seems more concrete given the Old Lady’s difficulties in finding suitable candidates.
According to La Stampa, Brozovic, 34, is eager to return to Europe and still feels he can compete at the highest level. The player could provide the Bianconeri’s midfield with that extra quality that Spalletti has long been seeking—Spalletti, who previously coached him during his time at Inter. Before sealing the deal, however, Juve will have to offload at least one of the surplus players in midfield.
As for Fofana, the situation is more urgent than it seems. According to Sportmediaset, the French midfielder has already agreed to move to Turin, and Juventus and Milan are reportedly working out a financial agreement. The Rossoneri value the player at around 17–18 million euros, though that figure could drop if a player is included in the deal: among the names circulating in connection with a possible swap are Nico Gonzalez, Fabio Miretti, and Teun Koopmeiners, although the latter two wouldn’t particularly excite the Rossoneri’s transfer team.
The Goretzka chapter: The German, born in 1995, remains for now a concrete option only on paper. The midfielder is a free agent after eight years with Bayern Munich, but the main obstacle remains his salary: in Bavaria, he earned approximately 10 million euros net per season, a figure that only clubs in the Saudi Pro League seem willing to guarantee him. His stated intention is to remain in Europe, but to do so, he will necessarily have to adjust his financial demands. In addition to Juventus, Besiktas, Barcelona, and several Premier League clubs—the German international’s preferred destination—have also expressed interest in the player.
