The long pursuit is now in its final stages: Curtis Jones is set to don the Inter jersey. The English midfielder, born in 2001, was specifically requested by Cristian Chivu, who is looking to add a versatile, young, and talented player to the midfield. The negotiations are now nearing a conclusion.

The breakthrough came in the last few hours, when Inter made a fresh push and reached a verbal agreement with Liverpool for 35 million euros. The Reds did not offer any discounts, despite the fact that the player’s contract is set to expire in 2027.

There are no obstacles, however, regarding the agreement between Jones and Inter. The midfielder’s contract had, in fact, already been worked out in detail, and all that remained was for the two clubs to reach an agreement.

Once the final bureaucratic steps are completed, Jones will be able to head to Milan to complete the necessary formalities and sign the contract that will tie him to the Nerazzurri club on Viale della Liberazione.
