As the tennis circuit gears up for the big event at the U.S. Open in New York, Jannik Sinner is forced to watch the tournament from afar. The world No. 1 has returned to J Medical to undergo further examinations on his right knee and continue his rehabilitation following the injury that forced him to withdraw from the season’s final Grand Slam.

On Tuesday, Sinner once again visited the Turin medical facility to assess how his knee is responding to the treatments administered over the past few weeks. However, the tennis player and his staff continue to maintain the utmost discretion regarding his condition. The goal is to make a full recovery in time for the Asian tour, scheduled to begin in late September. Before returning to the court, Sinner will therefore need to complete his rehabilitation program and evaluate the progress of his knee with the medical staff.

The series of checkups began after Wimbledon, with the first tests conducted in mid-July. In early August, the world No. 1 continued with further examinations and an intensive phase of physical therapy, during which shockwave therapy was also used. The evaluations on August 24 and 25 represent another important step in determining when he can gradually resume training with a racket.

Meanwhile, Sinner’s presence at J Medical has also caught the attention of Juventus fans. The facility is, in fact, affiliated with the Bianconeri club, and at that very moment, the Juventus community was grappling with the news that Kenan Yildiz had been sidelined by a foot injury. Social media was quick to respond with some tongue-in-cheek comments. Some joked about the idea of considering Sinner a new Juventus signing, while others imagined him as a solution for the offense. This lighthearted interlude accompanied a day that was decidedly more important from a sporting standpoint for the South Tyrolean champion, who remains focused on his recovery and return to the court.
