Milan and Venice face off at 8:45 p.m. on Friday in the early match of the second round of Serie A. Following their away victory in their season opener against Torino, Ruben Amorim’s Rossoneri will make their home debut at San Siro against the Venetians, who were defeated at home last weekend by Lecce.

Amorim is expected to start De Winter in defense alongside Gila and Pavlovic. Chukwueze and Estupinan will play on the wings, while Modric is expected to start in midfield alongside Rabiot. In the attacking midfield, Loftus-Cheek will once again partner with the young Cissé, playing behind center forward Gonçalo Ramos. Leao has not been called up and is set to say goodbye to his teammates; Pulisic and Moreira are not yet at their best.

Stroppa is expected to rely on the Adams-Yeboah duo. Hainaut and Correia are on the wings, with Basic, Busio, and Kike Perez in midfield. The defensive trio will consist of Bella-Kotchap, Schingtienne, and Franjic.

Milan vs. Venezia: Probable Lineups
MILAN (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Gila, De Winter, Pavlovic; Chukwueze, Modric, Rabiot, Estupinan; Loftus-Cheek, Cissé; Ramos. Coach: Amorim
VENEZIA (3-5-2): Stankovic; Bella-Kotchap, Schingtienne, Franjic; Hainaut, Basic, Busio, Kike Perez, Correia; Adams, Yeboah. Head Coach: Stroppa

““I expect a very difficult match; we’ll have to run a lot. They’ll want possession and will play tight man-to-man defense early on. We need to establish a system and maintain stability, but also rotate and involve other players. When facing different opponents, you need players with different skill sets,” said Amorim.
