Monza Transfer Market: Cyril Ngonge Has Signed; No Surprises Regarding the Transfer Terms

Monza officially announced the signing of Cyril Ngonge on Friday. The Belgian attacking winger is joining from Napoli on a loan deal through June 30, 2027, with an option to buy in favor of the red-and-white club—a deal that had been discussed in recent days and has now been confirmed by the Brianza-based club.
Born in Uccle, a few kilometers from Brussels, on May 26, 2000, Ngonge came up through the youth system at Club Brugge, where he made his debut in December 2018 in a league match against Standard Liège and in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid. In 2020, he went on loan to PSV Eindhoven, where he made 22 appearances and scored 7 goals for the reserve team.
His development continued in the Eredivisie: first at RKC Waalwijk, where he scored 5 goals in 20 games, then at Groningen, where he made his mark with 11 goals in 46 appearances, attracting interest from several European clubs. In January 2023, he transferred to Hellas Verona, which brought him to Serie A: Ngonge immediately proved decisive, leading the Scaligeri to safety with a two-goal performance in the relegation playoff against Spezia.
After scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances for Verona, he was acquired by Napoli in January 2024, where he played 35 games and was crowned Italian champion on May 23, 2025. The following season saw him go on two loan spells: first to Torino, then to Espanyol, marking his first stint in La Liga. A fast and versatile right winger, Ngonge also made one appearance for the Belgian national team in a Nations League match against Italy on October 10, 2024.
