2026-2027 Europa League: Juventus and Milan’s Schedules Are Official

UEFA has officially released the schedule for Juventus and Milan, who will compete in the group stage of the 2026–2027 Europa League, Europe’s second-tier club competition. The Bianconeri and the Rossoneri, among the favorites to win the tournament, will make their home debuts against N.E.C. Nijmegen and Benfica, respectively, on September 16 and 17. Juve’s first away game is in Vigo, Spain, on October 15, while on the same day the Rossoneri will be in Austria, where they’ll face Salzburg.

Giorgio Chiellini, a Juventus executive, commented on the draw for Juventus in an interview with Sky Sport: “I think it’s hard to make sense of this draw. We’ve drawn two Spanish teams, but our goal is to advance. We’ve avoided difficult away games; now we have to prove on the field that we deserve these positions.” Chiellini then turned his attention to the ambitions of the two Italian teams in Europe: “Both we and Milan have a responsibility to achieve a result that will also allow us to compete for an additional spot in the Champions League. We’re two teams that care deeply about this, aware of the difficulties of the matches—even in the league.”

Chiellini provided an update on Kenan Yildiz’s condition: “Kenan Yildiz’s injury is a significant loss, but this will give other players a chance to shine. I think the team can have a great season. Yildiz has this metatarsal issue and will need surgery; he’ll be out for a few months, but it’s not an injury that will jeopardize his future. He’ll come back 100%; it’s just a minor setback that won’t affect his career or his performance.”
