A major shakeup on Bologna’s bench: Domenico Tedesco is about to be fired. According to *La Gazzetta dello Sport*, the Rossoneri club has decided to make a coaching change following the Rossoblù’s difficult start to the season.

In their first four Serie A matches, Bologna earned just one point, losing to Lazio, Atalanta, and Napoli, and drawing 2-2 with Sassuolo. The sudden dismissal is expected to take place in the coming hours, likely Wednesday morning.

La Gazzetta reports that a face-to-face meeting took place between Bologna’s management and Domenico Tedesco, during which the club expressed concern not so much about the losses as about the team’s lack of cohesion on the field. The German coach took full responsibility for the situation but reportedly failed to provide the answers the management was hoping for, leading them to decide to take a different path.

In recent days, several candidates have been evaluated, including Stefano Pioli and Igor Tudor, but Bologna is leaning toward hiring Raffaele Palladino. The former Fiorentina and Atalanta coach is currently without a team following his departure from Atalanta and is reported to have already been in contact with the Bologna club.

In a recent press conference, Tedesco had this to say about the Rossoblù’s season goals: “I don’t think about the standings; I only think about the result. I watched Director Fenucci’s press conference and I agree with everything he said. Today I’d settle for tenth place, but the goal is to win them all and go as far as possible.”
