F1, Charles Leclerc reveals Ferrari’s three weaknesses
The Monegasque reveals Ferrari’s three weak points
Charles Leclerc ended the 2022 world championship in second place in the drivers’ standings. However, the Monegasque, after the first races of the championship, seemed to be able to fight with Verstappen until the very last, before the performance of the red cars deteriorated.
“There are three key elements, which are difficult to pin down in a hypothetical priority ranking. Clearly reliability was a problem at one point in the season and we paid for it with penalties and retirements. Then strategy, I think we made too many mistakes at one point in the season. Finally, tire management. We’ve had good races and some very bad races, and we still don’t seem to have figured out how to have consistent tire management throughout the weekends. These are the three key aspects that we are focusing on at the moment,” said the Ferrarista, in words reported by ‘FormulaPassion’,
“It seems to me that in the last few races we have taken a step forward on strategies. Of course, there were some mistakes, but I think we made better decisions in the race,” Leclerc continued, confidently.
