2026-2027 Nations League: Estonia vs. Iceland, Probable Lineups

Estonia and Iceland will face off on Tuesday evening at 8:45 p.m. in a Nations League C match. The hosts, coming off a very successful run, have the opportunity to move ahead of the visitors in the standings but will need to defeat Thorsteinsson and his teammates.

Estonian head coach Henn will be without his captain, Karol Mets, who is suspended; Erko Jonne Tõugjas is expected to start in his place alongside Peetson, Paskotsi, Kuusk, and Schjønning-Larsen. Matvei Igonen will once again start in goal due to Karl Hein’s absence through injury.

In the four-man midfield, Poom and Kait will anchor the flanks, with Kristal and Soomets in the center. Mustmaa will lead the attack, looking to score his second goal for the Estonian senior national team after netting against Lithuania in the Baltic Cup last June.

Iceland is in crisis mode: Head Coach Gunnlaugsson will be without Stefán Teitur Thórdarson and, most notably, Albert Gudmundsson. In addition to the two injured players, Mikael Egill Ellertsson will be absent due to suspension.

Valdimarsson will be in goal, with Anderson, Gunnarsson, Magnússon, and Tómasson in front of him. Sigurðsson will anchor the midfield, playing alongside Jóhannesson and Haraldsson. Striker Óskarsson, who has scored three goals in this tournament, will be supported by Thorsteinsson and Guðjohnsen.
