The disciplinary committee has issued its ruling following the confrontation between Luciano Spalletti and Fabio Pisacane at the end of the Cagliari-Juventus match. After the final whistle, the Juventus coach had a contentious handshake with his Cagliari counterpart; the two then came into close contact, and their respective staff were forced to separate them.

The disciplinary committee ruled fairly: both were suspended for one match—Spalletti for provoking the incident, and Pisacane for reacting to it.

PISACANE Fabio (Cagliari): for reacting, at the end of the match, to the provocative behavior of the opposing team’s coach, thereby fueling a moment of tension between members of the two benches.

SPALLETTI Luciano (Juventus): for adopting, at the end of the match, a provocative attitude toward the opposing team’s coach, which created a moment of tension between members of the two benches.

In addition to the two coaches, Elmas (Atalanta), Lucchesi (Monza), and Malen (Roma) were also suspended for one match.

Spalletti’s nerves had been severely tested by the behavior of Yerry Mina, Cagliari’s veteran Colombian defender, who had unnerved Douglas Luiz, Pape Matar Sarr, and Kolo Muani himself with his usual mind games, even earning a reprimand from the referee. At the end of the first half, the Tuscan coach had already harshly complained to the Rossoblù bench and to Mina himself. The Colombian later downplayed the incident: “I didn’t hear anything; I told him I care about him. My unsportsmanlike methods? When have I ever gotten a yellow or red card for being unsportsmanlike? This is my style of soccer.”
