Virtus Wins Again in Paris; Mumbrù Identifies the Key Moment

Virtus Bologna secured its third straight EuroLeague victory on the road against Paris Basketball, defeating them 96-94 thanks to Frazier’s game-winning three-pointer in the closing moments. Virtus’ Alston led all scorers with 23 points; Moore also played well with 14, and Bello added 12.
After the game, Coach Mumbrù praised the team, which prevailed despite the challenges they faced: “It was a tough game, made even tougher by the absence of Nadir Hifi, because we know that when a team is missing a key player, the others have to step up. I don’t think we played very well in the first quarter. In the second, we regained some of our defensive solidity, while in the third quarter, more or less the same thing happened as in the first half.”
“We went through stretches where we weren’t at our best—even for two or three minutes at a time—but in the end, we managed to find our rhythm and control the final possessions well enough to secure the victory,” the coach concluded.
Now Bologna returns to Italy, where on Friday at the PalaDozza it will host Baskonia with the goal of securing its fourth straight win.
