Teun Koopmeiners has come under fire from Juventus fans following the 2-2 draw with Rennes in the Europa League. The Dutch midfielder had this to say about the result: “We deserved to win in the second half; I’m sorry about the disallowed goal.”

What really riled up the Bianconeri supporters were his comments about his performances over the past two years: “I give 100% to help the team. I can do better, but I’ll keep helping the team. I have to look at all the positive things I’ve done over the past two years and keep going like this,” he told Sky.

“It’s fine, Koop. Actually, you’re the one who should apologize at this point,” “That’s exactly the problem: he thinks he’s done enough over the past two years,” “These guys are living in a fantasy world,” “But he’s taking us for a ride!”, “The guys in sixth place—at least their paychecks come on time every month,” “These guys live in a world of their own; getting rid of as many of them as possible, even if it means selling them off cheap, is the only solution,” commented the Bianconeri fans.

Juventus drew 2-2 against Rennes and moved up to 7 points in the Europa League standings.
