Antonio Conte’s attitude is boosting the spirits of Juventus fans

Antonio Conte is once again at the center of rumors regarding coaching positions at major European clubs, but his future may still lie in Italy. The Salento-born coach’s name has, in fact, been linked to Manchester United, which is grappling with an increasingly complicated situation. Michael Carrick’s position appears to be hanging by a thread after a disappointing start to the season, marked by just one win in the first seven Premier League matchdays, a league standing far below expectations, a crushing defeat at the hands of Como, and growing discontent among the fans.
The Red Devils’ management is reportedly already evaluating potential replacements, with Eddie Howe at the top of the list of candidates. Among the names circulating is Conte’s, as he is considered a coach capable of restoring discipline, organization, and a winning mentality to an environment in need of stability. The prospect of a move to England, however, remains rather unlikely, especially given the coach’s preference for a potential new opportunity in Italy.
Conte, in fact, would prefer to stay close to his family and would even be willing to wait until the end of the season to find a compelling opportunity in Serie A. A return abroad, following his stints coaching Chelsea and Tottenham, would therefore not be his first choice, although a particularly lucrative offer could prompt him to reconsider his position.
Among the possible Italian destinations, Juventus remains a possibility in the background, although at the moment there appear to be no contacts or negotiations to bring the Salento-born coach back to Turin. Juventus’ ownership is reportedly intent on continuing with Luciano Spalletti, in line with the policy of continuity outlined by John Elkann. Another coaching change would, in fact, mark the fifth major shake-up in four years—a scenario the club would like to avoid.
Much will depend, however, on how the season unfolds. A top-four finish in the league, coupled with a strong run in the Europa League, would strengthen Spalletti’s position. Conversely, results that fall short of expectations could reignite discussions about the coaching staff, bringing the possibility of Conte’s return back into the spotlight.
