Jannik Sinner silences the rumors in his own way: the surprise move

Jannik Sinner and Darren Cahill have silenced rumors about the future of their working relationship: without issuing an official denial, but in his own way, the Italian tennis player wanted to send a clear message following rumors of alleged issues between him and the Australian “super coach,” who, according to some, had not been fully informed about the progress of his knee injury.
“Good Morning,” Cahill wrote on his Instagram profile alongside some photos of Monte Carlo and a cup of coffee: the coach, who had traveled to the Principality to meet with the South Tyrolean, received an immediate “Like” from the tennis star. This was enough to delight the countless fans who have been left without the world’s number one, who won’t return to the court until 2027 due to physical issues.
No signs of a split, then, but simply a desire to meet again to plan for the future. The focus is now on the Australian Open in January, and perhaps even the Six Kings Slam scheduled for Riyadh in late December.
The Six Kings Slam—which Sinner won in 2024 and 2025 with two final victories over Carlos Alcaraz—has been moved from October to December 27–30 due to geopolitical instability in the Middle East. The Italian player’s name still appears in promotional materials, but this does not amount to a confirmation, and there has been talk of a possible replacement by Learner Tien. The exhibition match could serve as an initial test ahead of the Australian Open, where Sinner—a two-time champion—was eliminated in the semifinals this year by Novak Djokovic, but everything will depend on how his knee heals.
