Onana argues with coach: World Cup already over, away from Qatar
The Inter goalkeeper has been taken off the roster by Song.
André Onana’s World Cup is already over: the Inter Milan goalkeeper has fallen out with Cameroon coach Rigobert Song and, as Sky reports, will leave the national team’s training camp. He is scheduled to leave Qatar between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Onana, until now a pillar of Cameroon with 34 appearances between the posts of the Indomitable Lions’ team, had a bitter clash with Song, according to Cameroonian media, disputing him over some formation choices before the match against Serbia.
The black and blue goalkeeper’s exclusion from the match with the Slavs, which ended 3-3, was immediate, and Devis Epassy played in his place. Onana has reportedly already left the training camp and will return to Cameroon shortly.
