Carlo Alvino, during his editorial segment “Dillo ad Alvino,” which airs at 12:00 p.m. on Teleclub Channel 77, expressed his deep disappointment over the difficult period Napoli is going through following their defeat in Portugal. The journalist focused not only on the team’s struggles but also on the atmosphere of intense criticism that has developed around the Napoli camp.

“How sad. There’s no better word to describe the atmosphere surrounding Napoli today. A deep sadness that tugs at the heart of those who love these colors, seeing the team lose the way it did yesterday in Portugal, slipping into such a difficult stretch, lost on the field and unable to bring home results.”

Alvino did not downplay the severity of the team’s situation, but he identified a further cause for concern in the reactions that accompany every misstep by the Azzurri. According to the commentator, the debate has taken on an excessively harsh tone, ultimately overshadowing what the club has built in recent years.

“There is an even greater sadness, and it lies beyond the confines of the field. It is the sadness over criticism that has now become fierce, ruthless, and destructive. It seems that people are waiting for nothing more than a misstep to point fingers, to put everything and everyone on trial, erasing memory and gratitude in an instant.”

The commentator then drew attention to the consequences that a climate of constant tension could have on a team already grappling with disappointing results and difficulties on the field.

In the concluding part of his remarks, he urged the club’s community to regain balance, without denying the problems that have emerged on the field. His reflection turned into a call for unity during a particularly delicate phase of the season. “Napoli is weathering a storm—that’s true. Who can say otherwise? But storms are weathered by staying united, not by fanning a fire that risks reducing everything to ashes.”
