“With all due respect, we care less about who is in front of us.”

Tennis’s Italy faced and beat Brazil in the Group E match of the United Cup, the team event that kicked off the 2023 season.

For the occasion, captain of the Azzurra team, as well as coach of Matteo Berrettini, Vincenzo Santopadre did not hide his satisfaction to the microphones of Ubitennis.com, which intercepted the former player at the Queensland Tennis Centre in Brisbane, home of the grouping that also sees the presence of Norway, the next opponent of Musetti and co.

“I think all matches can be difficult, and the difficulties will be many. But what I think is that we are always ready: that’s what at least the boys showed again today. So, with all due respect, we care less about who we have in front of us, because we are confident in our means and our possibilities,” Santopadre said.
