Olimpia Milan, Italian market holds bench: decisions

Already projected to next season – there is a tricolor to defend and a Euroleague Final Four to conquer – Olimpia Milano reflects in the market on the question of ‘Italian players’ to keep on the roster. According to the latest rumors Ettore Messina has decided to confirm without the slightest hesitation Davide Alviti, Pippo Ricci and Tommaso Baldasso. Nicolò Melli and newcomer Stefano Tonut will also obviously be part of the club.

Different is the discourse regarding Davide Moretti and Giordano Bortolani. The former, sought after by Pesaro and Reggio Emilia, is close to saying goodbye: he will terminate his contract expiring in 2023 once he finds an agreement with another club. Bortolani, on the other hand, has leaned on a foreign agency in order to find an accommodation. Another year on loan is expected, with the Milanese club determined to retain his rights.

Chapter Gigi Datome and Paul Biligha: for the Montebelluna native confirmation is a foregone conclusion, while the latter, sought by Pesaro – which, however, cannot bear the costs of his arrival – is expected to sign his new agreement with the Milanese club in a few days.
