Genoa, looks across the Channel to reinforce attack
Genoa evaluates Vertainen, striker owned by St. Johnstone
Genoa is already hard at work planning the next soccer market session, with the ambition of strengthening the squad available to the technical staff. One of the objectives that the Rossoblù management intends to pursue is the search for a striker with good growth prospects.
As reported by “Calcioline,” among the various profiles followed, the name of Vertainen, a center forward class of 1999 from the Scots of St. Johnstone currently on loan at Linfield, a Northern Irish club with which he has exceeded 20 goals in the season, has taken prominence.
Despite the competition, the Grifone would be intent on establishing relations with the player’s entourage as soon as possible in an attempt to get ahead of other clubs. Such a negotiation would also be advantageous for Genoa because of the non-prohibitive cost of the price tag.
