Recovering from an extraordinary season, Sofia Goggia decided to take stock by posting a video on her Instagram profile showing the best moments of this year.

The skier from Bergamo described the video this way, “My downhill season…a beautiful tango. 9 races: 5 wins, 1 fall, 3 second places…it was Sofia’s hand!” Beautiful words that perfectly sum up her extraordinary season.

Sofia Goggia, class of 1992, was born in Bergamo and has a personal trophy case that can make anyone envious. Indeed, she was a gold medalist in the downhill in the 2018 edition of the Olympics staged in Pyeongchang, South Korea, but she can also boast four downhill World Cups and two medals won at the World Championships: a bronze in the giant slalom in Sankt Moritz in 2017 and a silver, in the super-giant, in Are, Sweden, two years later.
