F1, Horner confident about Vasseur: “If anyone can fill this role, it’s him.”

During an interview at the microphones of the French daily “L’Equipe,” the Red Bull team principal spoke out on recent events at Ferrari, also defending to the sword his colleague Frederic Vasseur, who was the subject of several attacks after the first race in Bahrain.

“Ferrari must have had their own reasons. They are a very important team in Formula 1 and this generates a lot of pressure and you have to know how to handle it. You need to know how to handle the fans, who can often be quite boisterous. However, Frederic is a very experienced man and if anyone can fill that role, it is him. The important thing is that there is mutual respect, as there has been in the past between Todt, Briatore, Domenicali, Dennis, despite the differences in personality level,” the British team principal began.

“In 2021, for example, this respect was lacking, as Toto Wolff has his own way of leading the team, which must be very different from mine,” Horner concluded about the Mercedes team principal.
