Reyer, Spahija blunt: “Reggio Emilia has changed.”
Reyer Venezia, Spahija adamant: “More quality will be needed.”
During the usual pre-game press conference, Reyer Venezia coach Neven Spahija presented the home game with Reggio Emilia scheduled for Sunday, March 26 at 6:00 pm.
“We have to figure out how to improve as a team compared to the last few outings. I have great respect for all the teams and coaches we face. Sakota is a great coach, but we have to show that we are better. I expect a completely different match from the first leg, as Reggio Emilia, since the arrival of Dragan, has completely changed the way it plays,” said the head coach of the Laguna players about the opponents.
“We will have to score with better percentages both from the field and at the line. You can play a good game defensively, but if you don’t make a basket you don’t win. In the last game for example we missed an open triple and they scored it, then we missed a lay-up and they punished us in transition. By making so many mistakes it is impossible to win high-level games. The players work hard during practice, but we have to put in more quality because it is the details that make a game win or lose,” Spahija concluded.
