The death of Julia Ituma, a promising blue volleyball player, at just 18 years old has shocked the volleyball world. Former champion Francesca Piccinini to Sky described her state of mind, “It’s a difficult moment for me and for all volleyball.”
“I got to know her and train with her. A girl with such a zest for life, very sweet and always careful to listen to all the advice that came her way. My condolences to her family.”
Paola Egonu, Ituma’s idol, has not yet issued a statement but expressed her grief by posting on Instagram a photo listed in mourning of Igor Volleyball.
