Ferrari, development accelerates: Charles Leclerc at work in the simulator
Work is in full swing in Maranello to recover from a very delicate ranking situation.
Ferrari and Charles Leclerc are engaging in some extra activities during these weeks of Formula 1 suspension. Despite the fact that the championship is currently at a standstill, in fact, the Monegasque is working at the simulator to test some new features. Which, according to ‘Motorsport.com’ reconstructions, could be brought to the track as early as Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
The upcoming track is known for its very long straight, which makes it necessary to perform highly on top speed, acceleration and aerodynamics at low load. For this reason, Ferrari is accelerating the development of a new unloaded rear wing and front flaps designed for proper balance at high speeds.
Leclerc himself has made himself personally available to fine-tune the new features, to which are added new bellies that are more hollowed out at the bottom. The source reminds, however, that in Baku Ferrari will only have one free practice session, as the program will then present the preparation for the Sprint Race. Despite this, however, Ferrari could already arrive in Azerbaijan with the newly tested solutions.
