NBA Playoffs: Boston liquidates Atlanta and reaches Philadelphia
Atlanta Hawks-Boston Celtics 120-128
After missing first match point at home, the Boston Celtics closed the score in game-6, beating Atlanta 128-120 and advance to the second round where they will face the Philadelphia 76ers.
Young’s 30 points were not enough for the hosts this time. Boston rose to the top in the finale, producing an 11-0 run that broke any comeback attempt by the Hawks. Dragging the Celtics along were the usual Tatum, author of 30 points, 17 rebounds and 7 assists, and Brown, who put up 32. Now in the Eastern Conference semifinals Mazzulla’s men will face the Sixers, who crashed the Brooklyn Nets (4-0) in the first round.
