Tall “only” 180 cm has other qualities, especially great quality in the pocket
In the end, the No. 1 call-up in the 2023 NFL Draft went to Bryce Young. The Alabama QB (Heisman Trophy winner in 2021) was chosen by the Carolina Panthers who, to get him, had to sacrifice so much in terms of first-round picks (given to the Chicago Bears).
In a game where size and stature matters, Bryce Young is an exception. He has rather small size for a modern QB (“only” 180 cm) but makes up for it with exceptional game vision. His creativity inside (but also outside) the pocket makes him a QB unlike any other. Clearly, it will be the field that will certify or not certify the value of young star Bryce Young.
