F1 Ferrari, Charles Leclerc unabashed: “Concerned”
Ferrari’s continued power unit failures worry Leclerc
The victory in Austria did not entirely soothe Charles Leclerc, who confessed some disquiet over yet another engine failure, this time suffered by teammate Carlos Sainz: “Of course it worries me,” he confessed to Speedweek.
“We have to understand the problem all the way through and make sure a defect like this doesn’t happen again. I have retired twice in the last six races because of engine failure, with Carlos it was the hydraulics and in Austria also the engine. We need to get the stability under control as quickly as possible.”
Leclerc, on the other hand, is pleased with the upgrades: “We did one in Barcelona, one in Silverstone, it’s going the right way. We are actually driving at a high level since the beginning of the season, apart from Miami.”
