Tuesday was one to forget for Nicolò Zaniolo, who got himself sent off during the league match won by Galatasaray at home to Istanbulspor (Icardi’s double).
The former Roma midfielder, who entered the field in the 69th minute at the Necmi Kadioglu Stadyumu, was sent off in the 75th minute after a bad sliding entry on Yesil: initially judged yellow, the referee went back on his decision after seeing the intervention on the monitor.
For Zaniolo, the adventure in Turkey is not going well: after three goals in the first four games, the player found little of the pitch and was no longer able to make an impact. In nine league games, only on one occasion has he started as a starter.
