Giro, Thomas: “Roglic happy to leave me in pink…”
Pink jersey Geraint Thomas spoke after stage 13, which saw him retain the lead in the Giro d’Italia general classification.
“We kept our composure when there were attacks on the first climb. Ben Swift and Pavel Sivakov were good at dictating the pace,” Thomas’ words. “They rode a very good race. The way it went at the end made it quite difficult to attack.”
“Primoz is probably happy to leave me in the Maglia Rosa for a few more days. I expect more from him next week.”
