Yet another forfeit for Marcell Jacobs, who is also skipping the Golden Gala scheduled for Friday night at Florence’s Ridolfi Stadium.
In the third stage of the Diamon League, the Italian was supposed to take to the track in the 100 meters, in which he is the reigning Olympic champion, but last night Marcell’s staff and Fidal doctors opted by mutual agreement to forfeit, communicating the decision to the organizers.
Jacobs had already had to forfeit the meeting in Rabat, where he was to challenge U.S. world champion Fred Kerley, because of a back problem.
