Inter, Javier Zanetti candid about Leo Messi dream
Javier Zanetti admits, “Messi? We can’t afford him.”
Javier Zanetti, at the microphones of ‘Tyc Sports’, spoke about the unrealizable market dream for Inter, the arrival of Leo Messi that a few summers ago seemed almost possible but then never really materialized.
“Who wouldn’t love to have Messi? We, however, cannot afford him,” admitted the vice president and former Nerazzurri captain. “Economically he is for very few, and it is also right that he is, because of what he represents and what he is worth. Now he is also world champion….”
No regrets, however, for Zanetti: “Financial Fair Play is a complication, but Inter is doing good things, the sports project is in line with the economic one: we do what we can afford and we are getting good results.”
