Superbike: Alvaro Bautista and Ducati dominate race-1 at Misano
Fans in jubilation at Misano Adriatico for the Ducati one-two of Alvaro Bautista and Michael Ruben Rinaldi. In race-1 of the fifth round of the World Superbike World Championship, the 38-year-old reigning world champion Spaniard swept the field, preceding the 27-year-old from Rimini by more than five seconds.
Third at nearly nine seconds was Yamaha’s Turkish 2021 world champion Toprak Razgatlioglu, fourth another Ducati, that of Axel Bassani of the Motocorsa Racing team, and fifth was Kawasaki’s six-time world champion Jonathan Rea from Northern Ireland.
