Roland Garros: Novak Djokovic in fluency in quarterfinals
Novak Djokovic made the quarterfinals of Roland Garros with relative ease. The Serbian tennis player, a former world number one, defeated Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas in the round of 16 in three easy sets with scores of 6-3 6-2 6-2.
Nole will play the semifinals of the Paris tournament against Russia’s Karen Khachanov, who beat Italian Lorenzo Sonego in four sets. Djokovic reached the 17th Roland Garros quarterfinal in his career-a record that allows him to surpass Rafael Nadal himself, undisputed king of Paris.
