Lorenzo Sonego analyzed his loss to Russian Karen Khachanov in the round of 16 at Roland Garros: “Physically I really had no more, I had lost lucidity. But I’m happy with the matches I was able to play here. I struggled, with Rublev I recovered from two sets down, in short I’m happy that I found some continuity.”

“Unfortunately in Slams heart is not enough, now I know I have to take care of the athletic part even more, I have to put more gas in the tank. Work on endurance because with experienced opponents, in a 3 out of 5 match you have to be more fresh or you lose your lucidity.”
