F1, Ralf Schumacher: “Ferrari and Vasseur don’t know what to do”
Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher spoke on Ferrari’s crisis at the microphones of Sky Deutschland. “Team Principal Frederic Vasseur seemed not to know what to do. When I asked him how long it will take Ferrari to catch up with the leaders, his answer was, ‘First we have to identify the problem, then we can say how long it will take.’ They don’t really know what the problem is, they’ve had too rapid tire degradation for a year and have simply been too slow even in Barcelona, Qualifying aside.”
According to Schumacher, Vasseur needs time: “Ferrari still has a road bristling with obstacles ahead, Vasseur has only been in charge for a few months, it takes time and you have to give it to him. He is bringing new people into the team, and it will take some time for everyone to start working and for this work to bear fruit. It’s possible that Ferrari may have to put in the bill for ‘losing’ 2023 and even the beginning of 2024.”
