Contrary to earlier announcements, the public funeral chamber will not be set up at Studio 20 in Cologno Monzese or elsewhere. “All Mediaset embraces with love and infinite gratitude the founder Silvio Berlusconi”: one can read in the ‘Biscione’ headquarters.
A private funeral chamber has been set up at Villa San Martino in Arcore to pay tribute to Silvio Berlusconi, with only a small number of people allowed to enter. The mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, had offered the Berlusconi family the Sala Alessi of “Palazzo Marino,” headquarters of the Milan City Council.
The state funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Duomo in Milan. The service will be presided over by Archbishop Mario Delpini.
