F1, Carlos Sainz’s pressure on Ferrari: “I want clarity”

Carlos Sainz spoke about his future: “I hope to have an answer soon.”

Carlos Sainz hopes to resolve his contractual issue with Ferrari as soon as possible. His engagement with the Maranello-based stable expires at the end of 2024, and the Spanish driver is asking for clarity right away to the microphones of Motorsport.

“I don’t want to tell lies, I don’t like to start a season knowing that it’s my last year of my contract, I want to know what awaits me in the long run. I have had previous experience with Red Bull and Renault, and I know that not knowing one’s future is not the ideal situation for a professional driver.”

“That is why one of the priorities over the coming winter will be to get clarity on my position, with the understanding that for me the main goal is to win one day behind the wheel of a Ferrari, something I have made clear many times. This will be my winter priority, if it is not possible I will be forced to look elsewhere.”

Denied rumors of contact with Audi starting in 2026: “I know very well that I have not spoken with any team other than Ferrari.”
