F1, Charles Leclerc sets goal ahead of race
Charles Leclerc’s words after Silverstone GP qualifying.
After finishing fourth in qualifying in the Silverstone Gp, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc wanted to analyze his performance to the microphones of “Sky Sport F1.” “I gambled everything in the last sector. The approach I had was paying off until the utlimo sector and in other corners. In the conditions of Q1 and Q2, which are the ones where I suffered and did not guarantee good results in the last few rounds, I worked a lot and I am happy with the steps I made. This does not mean I am at the level I would like, but I felt more comfortable,” said the Monegasque driver.
Next, Charles Leclerc addressed his expectations ahead of the race, “The McLarens are really strong, however, we will have to see their race pace. The goal for the race is to get at least 2nd place. However, Mercedes seems very strong in the long run and McLaren is an unknown, as we did not expect them to go so fast in qualifying.”
