Aprilia ambassador Max Biaggi in an interview with As said he was thrilled with Aleix Espargarò’s victory at Silverstone: “I really liked his race strategy and the way he handled it, because at the end it might have looked like Aleix was a little less strong than Bagnaia, but in truth he was waiting to overtake him at the end. He surprised us as well.”

Four Aprilias in the Top 10: “I think the Silverstone circuit suits the Aprilia well, because the first podium in MotoGP was achieved here in 2021 and we could have done something important last year if it wasn’t for Aleix’s crash on Saturday. And on Friday of this weekend Aleix made a big difference. It is a circuit where Aprilia and Aleix are very good.”
On the duel with Ducati: “If 2023 proceeds at this pace there really will be a direct Ducati-Aprilia duel, which I hope and dream of. Both as a fan and as an insider. What more could we Italians ask for?”
