Frederic Vasseur is still asking Ferrari fans for time to build the team he has in mind. And doing so requires action right away.

“You have to be a little humble, take time to understand where we are weak and where we are strong. And then you have to try to act,” he said in words reported by FormulaPassion. “But when you want to hire people, it’s a matter of months for the easier positions and years for the more difficult ones. It means that the path is long. It is a matter of two years, but if we start in six months, it will be two and a half years. So you have to push from the very beginning.”

“We have started recruiting in a big way. And this is also a message we need to send to the paddock and the team: we will do our best in every single area,” Ferrari’s team principal continued.

“It’s not that performance comes only from aerodynamics, but from everyone in the company. We did a good job in terms of production, rushing the implementation of the upgrades a lot. The response from the factory has been outstanding,” Vasseur concluded.
