Season-long reinforcement for Pesaro

VL Pesaro announced on Friday the return to the Marches of Egidijus Mockevicius, a Lithuanian center, class of 1992, 208 cm by 108 kg, with a past in the American college tournament (with the Purple Aces of the University of Evansville) and in the G-League (with the Long Island Nets).

Mockevicius had already played in Pesaro in the 2018/19 season, which ended with a save. "His professional career began in Vilnius,” the red-and-white club explained, “then in 2016/17 the experience in the United States with the Long Island Nets awaited him. In the following season he returned to Lithuania, wearing the Lietuvos Rytas jersey. In the following year he lands in Pesaro where he plays 30 games, averaging 11 points and 11 rebounds per match".

"The excellent performances with the VL jersey – continues the club’s note – earned him a move to the Spanish top league, to Fuenlabrada, while in 2020/2021 he moved to the French top league, to Le Mans where he has Scott Bamforth as his teammate. Also in 2022 è committed to France, this time to Provence Basket while his season ends at CSM Constanta, in Romania. He returns to Pesaro after starting 2023/2024 in Lithuania, at’Alytus Wolves, a lineup also involved in EuroCup".
