Walter Mazzarri returns to Naples after ten and a half years
On Tuesday afternoon came the official announcement of the dismissal of Rudi Garcia as Napoli coach. The note that appeared on company channels thus confirmed the news that was in the air already since the hours after the home defeat against Empoli on Sunday. It will beà Walter Mazzarri to take his place, as confirmed instead on 'X' by Aurelio De Laurentiis.
"Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli has decided to revoke Mr. Rudi Garcia’s appointment as head coach of the first team,” reads the clubà reigning Italian champions on its website. “To him and his staff our thanks for their cooperation to date".
On the other hand, as far as Mazzarri’s return is concerned, it was Aurelio De Laurentiis who confirmed it on 'X', the 'ex-Twitter: "Welcome back Walter" his words, which in a few minutes gathered thousands of likes, reposts and comments from fans, before being relaunched by the club’s official profile itself.
Mazzarri returns to Naples ten years after the conclusion of his first Neapolitan experience: the coach from San Vincenzo took the helm of the team in October 2008, leaving it at the end of the 2012/13 season, a year after winning the Coppa Italia, the only trophy of that management.
