European short bathtub championships, two silver medals for Italy
Two medals, both silver, for Italy on the third day of the European short-tub swimming championships underway in Otopeni, Romania.
The first, in order of time, è came thanks to Nicolò Martinenghi in the 100 breaststroke The Italian finished with a time of 56''57 behind the Dutch Arno Kamminga (56''52), who won the gold.
Bronze è went to another Dutchman Caspar Corbeau, in 56”66. Fifth place for the other Italian competing, Simone Cerasuolo, in 56”89.
In the last final, the women's 4×50 mixed relay, Italians Costanza Cocconcelli, Benedetta Pilato, Silvia Di Pietro and Jasmine Nocentini set a new Italian record, in 1'43''97, to win silver.
Sweden won the gold in 1’43”26, Great Britain the bronze in 1’44”67.
