Lecco dreams, then collapses: 3-2 Ternana in comeback
A reversal in less than half an hour, which can be worth so much for salvation.
Ternana victorious in Lecco, thanks to a sensational 3-2 win that matured in the second half after the hosts had gone to rest ahead by two goals. Raimondo’s brace and Luperini’s goal allowed però the Rossoverdi not only to win a very delicate direct challenge, but also to momentarily take themselves out of the Serie B relegation zone.
For Lecco, things seemed to go well as early as 21', when Crociata inspired Di Stefano who in turn served Ionita the ball for the Larian lead. Then Buso squanders an excellent chance to double, but takes advantage of a second on 38', when he collects from Crociata and even scores with his heel. It wasn't over, because before halftime Ternana got away with a double conclusion by Sersanti and then by Buso, with the latter still wasting it all as time nearly expired.
The game seemed to be written, but in the second half it turned around. Already at 51' Raimondo shortens for Ternana with a splendid turn on an assist from Labojko. Lecco tries to react, but misses a restart with Agostinelli: Di Stefano then recovers the ball and serves it to Raimondo who, at 69' equalizes and completes his personal double. And the Umbrians complete their comeback at 76' thanks to Luperini, skillful in taking advantage of a scrum in the box to sign the winning goal. The Rossoverdi continue their unbeaten streak and look out of the relegation zone, complete with overtaking the Lombardi, who are now second-last in the standings.
