Serie A kicks off, immediately a long-distance challenge between Milan and Inter Milan
There is also curiosity about the debut of the ambitious Monza.
This is it. After an actually not even too long wait (this year the season starts early because of the World Cup in Qatar that will kick off on November 20) the Serie A reopens its doors with four previews valid for the first day of the championship.
Immediately on the field, at 6:30 p.m., Italian champions AC Milan face Andrea Sottil’s Udinese in a San Siro that promises to be packed to capacity. Sampdoria and Atalanta will also take the field at the same time at Marassi.
At 8:45 p.m., however, it is the turn of Simone Inzaghi’s Inter, engaged in their debut against newly promoted Lecce. Also in the evening, there is expectation for the home debut of Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani’s ambitious Monza, which hosts Ivan Juric’s Torino at the U-Power Stadium.
While waiting for the other big names – on the field between Sunday and Monday – to make their debuts, Milan and Inter want to immediately set the record straight in the very long chase for the tricolor.
