Zdenek Zeman says goodbye to Pescara
Zdenek Zeman made it official on Thursday that he had tendered his resignation as Pescara coach. It was the biancazzurro club that confirmed the news, through a note published on its official website. Zeman, who è underwent heart surgery a few days ago, leaves the technical leadership to Giovanni Bucaro, with Diego Labricciosa as assistant coach.

"I am sorry to leave at this time,” the Bohemian coach told Pescara’s official channels, “butpersonal vicissitudes have taken over and are forcing me to make this choice. I had returned to Pescara with a lot of enthusiasm, driven by a football debt that I wanted to extinguish towards a square that made me experience important emotions".
"Last year we came close and I sincerely hoped that this year would end differently – added Zeman, 76 years old on May 12 -. I leave the boys to people who are capable and able to continue the sporting path. I am sure that with the vicinity of the people they will know how to do well".
The heart surgery just a few days ago
"I thank the companyà which è has always been close to me, between us will always remain arelationship of affection and friendship built over time and which I hope will make us return soon to experience other important moments" then concluded the Prague-born coach, who coached Pescara in 2011/12, from February 2017 to March 2018 and again from February 2023 until today.
Zdenek Zeman recently underwent a heart surgery that involved the insertion of four stents, an operation performed by the'ééquipe led by Dr. Stefano Guarracini. Although the surgery was successful, the technician himself and the club have seen fit to terminate the working relationship so that Zeman himself can focus exclusively on convalescence.
